Trifluoroacetic acid (121 ml) was added to the [(R)-1-(4-ethyl-5-methanesulfonyl-4H-[1,2,4]triazol-3-yl)ethyl]-carbamic acid t-butyl ester (100.0 g) obtained in Example 8-(5), and the mixture was stirred for 2 hours at room temperature. The reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain (R)-1-(4-ethyl-5-methanesulfonyl-4H-[1,2,4]triazol-3-yl)ethylamine trifluoroacetate as a white powder (103.8 g).
