A mixture of the product from step (iv) (0.10 g), sodium hydroxide (0.018 g) in methanol (5 ml) and water (5 ml) was stirred at RT for 1 h. The mixture was partitioned between 2M hydrochloric acid/ethyl acetate, the organics separated, dried and evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by reverse phase HPLC. Yield 0.012 g
