A suspension of 1-(6-(3-aminophenyl)-2-benzothiazolyl)-3-ethylurea (0.062 g, 0.20 mmol), triethylamine (0.083 mL, 0.60 mmol, 3.0 eq), and phenyl isocyanate (0.055 mL, 0.50 mmol, 2.5 eq) in 2 mL toluene was stirred at room temperature for about 1 hour. The white precipitation was filtered off, washed with Et2O and MeOH, and dried under vacuum to give the desired compound 0.038 g (44%). LC/MS 431.8 (M+1); LC retention time 3.49 min.
