Procedure

The compound (4) (0.605 g, 2.17 mmol) was dissolved in 20 ml of benzene and piperidine (0.222 g, 2.60 mmol) was gently dropped thereto at a room temperature. The reaction mixture was stirred for 2 hours. After 2 hours, the reaction mixture was washed with water and brine. An organic layer was dried with anhydrous magnesium sulfate and the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The reaction mixture was subjected to column chromatography (CH2Cl2:MeOH=10:1) to purify the title compound (6) in the form of a white crystal (0.632 g, 80%) (mp 109° C.).
