To a solution of (S)-4((1-benzylpiperidin-3-yl)(methyl)amino)-5,6-dihydropyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidin-7(8H)-one (100 mg, 0.3 mmol) in MeOH (3 mL) was added 10% Pd/C (100 mg) and ammonium formate (179 mg, 2.8 mmol) and the reaction mixture was heated for overnight. The reaction mixture was filtered and concentrated in vacuo to afford (72 mg, 96%) of the titled intermediate which was used without purification. LC-MS: m/z [M+1]=262.
