To a solution of 5-(1-acetyl-1H-indazol-5-yl)-2-(pyridin-2-yl)-4H,7H-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-α]pyrimidin-7-one (120 mg, crude) in methanol (10 ml) was added a solution of potassium carbonate (48 mg, 0.35 mmol) in water (1 ml), and the reaction was stirred overnight at room temperature. The resulting solution was concentrated and diluted with water (5 ml). The solids were collected by filtration to give a crude product, which was purified by Flash-Prep-HPLC to afford 5-(1H-indazol-5-yl)-2-(pyridin-2-yl)-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-α]pyrimidin-7(4H)-one as a brown solid (36.9 mg, 12% 2 steps).
