To a solution of 5-(1-acetyl-1H-indazol-5-yl)-2-methyl-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-α]pyrimidin-7(4H)-one (100 mg, crude) in methanol (3 ml) was added a solution of potassium carbonate (45 mg, 0.33 mmol) in water (1 ml), and the mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature. The resulting solution was concentrated under vacuum to give a residue, which was diluted with water (5 ml). The solids were collected by filtration and purified by Prep-HPLC to afford 5-(1H-indazol-5-yl)-2-methyl-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-α]pyrimidin-7(4H)-one as a white solid (28.7 mg, 7% 2 steps).
