To a solution of 5-(1-acetyl-1H-indazol-5-yl)-2-(4-fluorophenyl)-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-α]pyrimidin-7(4H)-one (100 mg, crude) in methanol (10 ml) was added a solution of potassium carbonate (50 mg, 0.36 mmol), and the resulting mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature. The solids were collected by filtration and washed with water (3 ml) and methanol (10 ml) to afford 2-(4-fluorophenyl)-5-(1H-indazol-5-yl)-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-α]pyrimidin-7(4H)-one as a light yellow solid (55 mg, 23% 2 steps).
