Reaction Steps

To a solution of 84 mg of tert-butyl 2,2,4-trimethyl-4-(5-methyl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)-1,3-oxazolidine-3-carboxylate in 1.5 ml of dichloromethane was added 500 μl of trifluoroacetic acid, followed by stirring at room temperature for 2 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure, methanol was added thereto, and the solvent was evaporated again to obtain 76 mg of 2-amino-2-(5-methyl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)propan-1-ol trifluoroacetate.
