9-(4,5-dihydrofuran-2-yl)-2-(3-methoxyphenyl)-7,8-dihydro-[1,4]diazepino[7,1-a]isoquinolin-5(4H)-one. 57-1. A mixture of 9-iodo-2-(3-methoxyphenyl)-7,8-dihydro-[1,4]diazepino[7,1-a]isoquinolin-5(4H)-one (Example 30) (1.0 g, 2.25 mmol), tributyl(4,5-dihydrofuran-2-yl)stannane (1.21 g, 3.38 mmol) and Pd(PPh3)4 (0.13 g, 0.11 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (10 mL) was heated in a microwave reactor at 150° C. for 90 min. The mixture was then diluted with AcOEt and filtered. The filtrate was concentrated in vacuo and the crude product obtained was purified by flash chromatography (SiO2, heptane to heptane/AcOEt 1:1) to give a brown solid, which was suspended in heptane and heated to reflux. The suspension was then allowed to cool to RT and then filtered. The filter cake was then dried in vacuo to afford the title compound (543 mg) as a beige solid.
