2M NaOH(aq) (2 mL, 4 mmol) was added to a stirred mixture of methyl 3,5-difluoro-4-(((2-((1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)amino)pyrimidin-4-yl)amino)methyl)benzoate (370 mg, 1 mmol, prepared by Procedure A) in 3:1 v/v THF/MeOH (40 mL) and the reaction was stirred at room temperature overnight. The mixture was neutralized with 1M hydrochloric acid and concentrated in vacuo to afford 3,5-difluoro-4-(((2-((1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)amino)pyrimidin-4-yl)amino)methyl)benzoic acid (theoretically 360 mg) which was used in the next step without purification.
