Procedure

INTERMEDIATE 4 (700 mg) was suspended in ethanol (95 %) (10 ml), hydrochloric acid (10 ml, 6M) was added and the heterogeneous mixture refluxed for 10 h. The suspension was cooled to room temperature and the solid filtered, washed with further portions of 6M hydrochloric acid and finally vacuum dried to yield the title compound (427 mg, ) as a white solid.

Workup

  1. temperaturethe heterogeneous mixture refluxed for 10 h
  2. filtrationthe solid filtered
  3. washwashed with further portions of 6M hydrochloric acid and finally vacuum
  4. customdried
