Reaction Steps
The title compound was prepared (0.20 g, 37%, mp 169°-170° C.) in a manner analogous to the preparation of 1-[3-(5-fluorobenzo[b]thien-3-yl)propyl]-4-(5-methoxy-4-pyrimidinyl)piperazine (Example 52) by the reaction of 3-(3-hydroxypropyl)benzo[b]thiene-5-carboxamide tosylate with 1-(5-methoxy-4-pyrimidinyl)piperazine.
