1.4 g 4-{3-[2-(2,4-Dichloro-phenyl)-ethoxy]-4-methoxy-benzoylamino}-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester was suspended in 20 ml HCl in ethanol at RT. After 2 h a clear solution was obtained. Addition of 50 ml toluene followed by evaporation of the solvent and repeatedly coevaporation of the residue with toluene yielded the product as a white foam.
