Reaction Steps
The product from Example 20, step a (0.650 g) was dissolved in dichloromethane (7 ml) and trifluoroacetic acid (2 ml) was added. After 3 hr at room temperature the solution was evaporated and aqueous NaOH (2M) added. The product was extracted with ethyl acetate, the combined organic extracts dried with Na2SO4 and concentrated to give the sub-title product as an oil (0.544 g).
