A mixture of ethyl 1-(6-chloropyridin-3-yl)cyclopropanecarboxylate (225.7 mg, 0.001000 mol) and tert-butyl piperazine-1-carboxylate (3.0 eq.) was heated at 130° C. for 6 h. After cooling, the mixture was flash chromatographed on a silica gel column to afford the desired product. LC/MS: 376.5 (M+H+).
