4H-Benzo[1,4]thiazin-3-one (2.75 g, 16.7 mmol), (R)-(3-bromo-2-methylpropoxy)-tert-butyldimethylsilane (95MF94) (4.04 g, 15.1 mmol) and cesium carbonate (12.3 g, 37.9 mmol) in DMF (20 mL) were reacted according to GP2 to give the title compound (108LM25-22) (3.74 g, 70%). 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ7.35 (d, J=7.6 Hz, 1H), 7.28-7.18 (m, 2H), 6.99 (t, J=7.6 Hz, 1H), 4.13 (dd, J=8.9 Hz, J=13.3 Hz, 1H), 3.95 (dd, J=5.9 Hz, J=13.3 Hz, 1H), 3.52-3.40 (m, 2H), 3.37 (s, CH2), 1.96-2.07 (m, 1H), 0.92-0.83 (m, 12 H), 0.02 (s, 6H).
