Ammonium acetate was added to a suspension of Compound 105 (7.1 g, 29.95 mmol) in glacial acetic acid and heated at 140° C. for 4 h. The solution was cooled and poured into ice water. The solids formed were filtered, washed by water, and dried under vacuum to yield 4.5 g (69%) of white solids. M.P. 264° C. 1H NMR (DMSO-d6): δ 2.32 (s, 3H), 7.34 (d, J=8.4 Hz, 1H), 7.63 (dd, J=1.5, 8.4 Hz, 1H), 7.75 (s, 1H). EIMS m/z 219 (M+1).
