Procedure
A solution of 6-[2-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)-4-methoxyphenyl]-3-methoxypyridazine (0.7 g, 0.0024 mole), t-butylamine (10.0 ml, 0.093 mole) in methanol (20 ml) was allowed to stand at room temperature for 24 hours. Evaporation of the solvent and crystallisation of the residue from ethyl acetate gave 6-[2-(3-t-butylamino-2-hydroxypropoxy)-4-methoxyphenyl]-3-methoxypyridazine (0.62 g, 70%, m.p. 114°-116°).
