The resultant compound from Example 35 (364 mg) was stirred for 2 h in 30% HBr in acetic acid (5 ml). The solvent was evaporated and the residue was dissolved in 1M HCl and washed with ether. The aqueous phase was adjusted to pH 4 with solid NaHCO3 and extracted with chloroform which was dried over Na2SO4 and evaporated to afford 186.5 mg (70%) of an oil. 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ8.78 (d,1H), 7.15-7.35 (m,5H), 6.99 (d,1H), 3.00-3.30 (m,4H), 2.81 (dd,1H).
