Conditions
- Temperature
- 60 °C
Procedure
61 g (0.2 mol) of the 1,4-bisacetylamino-2-nitro-5-trifluoromethylbenzene prepared according to C. are heated at 98° C. together with 250 ml of water and 80 g of concentrated hydrochloric acid (36% strength), and the reaction mixture is stirred at this temperature for 2 hours. The mixture is then cooled to 60° C. and the pH is brought to 7.5 with an alkali. The mixture is now cooled to 5° C. and the product which has precipitated is filtered off with suction, washed with water and dried in a vacuum cabinet.
