Reaction Steps

Following a procedure similar to that described in Preparation 25, but using benzyl 4-carboxyphenylacetate [prepared as described in step (iv) above] and N-[2-t-butyl-5-(4-cyclohexyl-3-hydroxybutyl)phenyl]-2-(9H-xanthen-9-yl)acetamide (prepared as described in Example 12) as starting materials, in relative proportions similar to those used in that Preparation, the title compound was obtained as a foam-like material.
