Procedure
93 g of aniline are added dropwise to 102 g of allyl-bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene-2,3-dicarboxylic acid anhydride, while stirring. During this addition, the temperature rises to 80° C. The mixture is heated to 150° C. and the pressure is reduced to 4,266 Pa. 9 ml of water and 46 ml of aniline distil off. Distillation gives 82.37 g (60% of theory) of a viscous yellow oil of boiling point 183° C. under 12 Pa, nD20 1.5738 and η25 105.6 Pa.s.
