11.2 gr of hexylaminoacetonitrile (0.081 mol) were dropwise added to 31 ml of H2SO4 diluted in 30 ml of ice-cooled ethanol. After the addition was completed, ethanol was evaporated and 40 ml of H2SO4 were added to the white solid as obtained. This solution was heated for 1 hour at 100° C., then cooled and dropwise added to 200 ml of ice-cooled ethanol. The white precipitate which formed was filtered and washed with 50 ml of ethanol.
