A mixture of 0.71 g (2.5 mmol) of 1-cyclopropyl-6,7,8-trifluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinolinecarboxylic acid, 0.54 g (2.7 mmol) of 6,8-diazabicyclo[3.2.2]nonane, dihydrochloride, 1.13 ml (7.5 mmol) of 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene and 15 ml of acetonitrile was heated under reflux for 1.5 hr. The reaction mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature and filtered to obtain 0.40 g of the title compound, mp 268°-271° dec.
