A solution of 0.53 g (2.0 mmol) of 1-cyclopropyl-6, 7-difluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-3-quinolinecarboxylic acid, 0.44 g (2.2 mmol) of 6,8-diazabicyclo[3.2.2]nonane, dihydrochloride, 0.90 ml (6.0 mmol) of 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene, and 10 ml of pyridine was heated under reflux for 4 hr. The reaction mixture was cooled to room temperature and the solid was filtered and washed with ethanol to yield 0.39 g of the title compound, mp 273°-276° dec.
