The title material from Step A was dissolved in methanol with catalytic amount of 10% Pd on C. The reaction mixture was hydrogenated for 2 hours at room temperature in methanol under 25 psi of hydrogen. After filtration of the crude reaction mixture through a pad of Celite, the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure to afford the title compound.
