General Manufacturing InformationPhthalazine: INACTIVE

Applications

UsesPhthalazine derivatives including copper and platinum complexes were induce the apoptosis in breast cancer cell lines and renal hyperemia.

UsesPhthalazine is a heterocyclic organic compound isomeric with quinoxaline, cinnoline and quinazoline. Aminophthalazine compounds serve as effective phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitors.

Preparation methods

Preparation2,3-diazanaphthalene can be obtained by reacting 1-(2H)-phthalazinone with phosphorus oxychloride to generate 1-chlorophthalazine, and then reacting it with hydrazine hydrate.
