100 mg. of 3',4'-anhydro-vinblastine are oxidized with oxygen from the air in an analogeous manner to that set forth in the Example 16, with the only difference that the reaction is performed in the presence of 4 mg. of 2,2'-azo-bis-isobutyronitrile.
