Procedure
To a solution of 2-chloro-9-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)-9H-purin-6-amine (500 mg) in dry ethylene glycol (2.3 mL) was added 1-pentylamine (689 mg). The solution was stirred at reflux (120° C.) overnight. The reaction was cooled, taken up in EtOAc (30 mL) and washed with water (2×20 mL). The organics were separated, dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound as a viscous brown oil (561 mg).
