Procedure
Following the method described in Example 19, 5-fluoro-3-(2-vinyl-7H-furo[3,4-b]pyridin-5-ylidene)-1,3-dihydro-indol-2-one (60 mg, 0.20 mmol) and N-methylpiperazine (300 mg, 3.00 mmol) are heated 100° C. for 2 h. The reaction mixture is cooled and treated with triethylamine (10 drops). The reaction mixture is loaded onto silica gel and purified by chromatography (silica gel, gradient elution, 2% MeOH/Chloroform to 20% MeOH/chloroform ) to provide the title compound (80 mg, 100%) as a yellow solid.
