A mixture of EXAMPLE 31C (100 mg), 0.5M benzyl zinc(II) bromide in THF (1.32 mL) and (1,1′-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene)dichloropalladium(II) (18 mg) in THF (2 mL) was stirred at 60° C. for 16 hours. The mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate, and the organic phase was washed with water and brine and dried (MgSO4), filtered, and concentrated. The concentrate was purified by flash chromatography on silica gel with 0-8% ethyl acetate/hexanes.
