Procedure

1-[7-amino-5-(2-chloro-phenyl)-3,4-dihydro-1H-isoquinolin-2-yl]-2,2,2-trifluoro-ethanone (71 mgs, 0.2 mmoles) was dissolved in anhydrous dimethylacetamide (1 ml) to which was added valeryl chloride (36 ul, 0.3 mmoles) and finally triethylamine (41.6 ul, 0.3 mmoles). The vial was flushed with nitrogen and stirred at room temperature overnight. The product was twice purified by semi-preparative C18 HPLC (11.5 mgs, 13.1% yield, 94% pure, CO-AAW00030).
