Methyl 7-(4-((2-phenylcyclopropyl)carbamoyl)phenoxy)-6-cyano-3,4-dihydro-2H-chromene-4-carboxylate (25.9 mg, 0.0553 mmol) was dissolved in THF (1.5 ml) and 1M LiOH-monohydrate solution in water (0.111 ml, 0.111 mmol) was added. The mixture was stirred for 17 hours at ambient temperature. A few drops of trifluoroacetic acid were added to the mixture and the mixture was purified on silica gel (MeOH in dichloromethane gradient with 1% acetic acid) to provide 7.7 mg of the title compound as a thin film (30%). MS (apci) m/z=453.0 (M−H).
