Procedure
A mixture of compound from Step A (100 mg., 0.42 mM) CH3OH (25 ml.) and 12N HCl (3 ml.) was heated at reflux for 24 hours. The CH3OH was evaporated in vacuo. The aqueous phase was made basic with saturated sodium carbonate, evaporated to dryness and extracted with hot ethyl acetate which was evaporated to dryness to give 5 mg of title compound.
