To a cold (0° C.) solution of (S)-2-{[(R)-5-(4-bromo-benzyl)-7-(3,5-dichloro-phenyl)-5-methyl-6-oxo-6,7-dihydro-5H-imidazo[1,2-a]imidazole-3-carbonyl]-amino}-propionic acid (0.050 g, 0.088 mmol) in DMF (1 mL) was added (R)-3-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)-piperidine trifluoro-acetic acid salt (0.047 g, 0.18 mmol), HATU (0.040 g, 0.11 mmol) and Et3N (0.026 mL, 0.18 mmol). The reaction was allowed to stir for 10 minutes and HOAt (0.024 g, 0.18 mmol) was added and the mixture allowed to warm to room temperature overnight. The crude reaction mixture was purified by reverse-phase HPLC to give 10 mg of the title compound as a white solid, m/z 701.4 [M]+.
