To a solution of the aldehyde obtained above in toluene was added methyl (triphenylphosphoranylidene)acetate (285 mg, 0.85 mmol), and the resulting mixture was heated at 80° C. for 3 hrs. The reaction mixture was diluted with EtOAc, and washed with water and brine. The organic layer was dried over anhydrous MgSO4 and concentrated under reduced pressure. The resulting residue was purified by column chromatography (Hex/EtOAc=4/1) to give the title compound (220 mg, 96%).
