Procedure
To a solution of EXAMPLE 318G (12.5 g) in tetrahydrofuran (50 mL) and methanol (25 mL) was added lithium hydroxide (1.0 M, 52.5 mL) and the reaction heated to 55° C. The reaction was stirred for 4 hours, cooled, diluted with dichloromethane (300 mL) and water (50 mL) and quenched with 1N aqueous HCl (1.0M, 50 mL). The organic layer was separated, washed with brine (100 mL), dried over magnesium sulfate, filtered and concentrated to give the title compound.
