To a suspension of 6-aminohexahydrofuro[3,2-b]furan-3-ol hydrochloride (363 mg, 2.0 mmol) in EtOH (10 mL) were added 2,4-dichloropyrimidine (298 mg, 2.0 mmol) and Et3N (1.01 g, 10.0 mmol) and the mixture was stirred at rt under nitrogen atmosphere overnight. The reaction mixture was filtered and washed with DCM (30 mL) and the filtrate was concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by silica gel chromatography (DCM/MeOH=30/1) to give the title compound as a white solid (165 mg, 32%).
