To a solution of (E)-tert-butyl 3-(5-chloro-2-(difluoromethoxy)phenyl)acrylate (458 mg, 1.503 mmol) in DCM (4.0 mL) was added TFA (2.0 mL, 26.0 mmol). After 1 h, the solvent was removed to give Intermediate 15 as a white solid. MS (ESI) m/z: 249.0 (M+H)+.
