4′-{3-[(3R)-3-Aminopyrrolidinyl]propoxy}[1,1′-biphenyl]-4-carbonitrile (177 mg, 0.65 mmol), (3R)-3-methyl-3-pyrrolidinol (75 mg, 0.74 mmol), potassium carbonate (153 mg) and potassium iodide (184 mg) in 10 mL of DMF were heated at 110° C. for 10 hours. The mixture was evaporated under reduced pressure and the residue was purified by chromatography (CHCl3:MeOH:NH4OH, 9:1:0.1) to provide the title compound (40 % yield).
