Procedure
A mixture of the product from Example 9 step (ii) (1.15 g) and oxalyl chloride (1.2 ml) in dichloromethane (100 ml) was treated with 2 drops of dimethylformamide. After 24 hours at room temperature a further aliquot of oxalyl chloride (3.6 ml) was added and the mixture heated under reflux for 48 hours. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. Toluene was added to the residue and then evaporated under reduced pressure to give the subtitle product as a yellow oil (0.95 g).
