A solution of 3-(2-bromo-ethyl)-5-fluoro-1H-indole (7.26 g, 30 mmol), pyrazole (2.04 g, 30 mmol) and ethyl-diisopropylamine (5.1 ml, 30 mmol) in abs. chloroform (80 ml) was stirred at 90° C. for 12 h. The reaction solution was then washed twice with water, dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated i. vac. and the residue which remained was purified by flash chromatography with CHCl3/MeOH (20:1).
