Prepared according to Procedure C using Intermediate 2h (200 mg, 0.589 mmol), 6-mercaptopurine monohydrate (124 mg, 0.726 mmol), K2CO3 (100 mg, 0.726 mmol), and DMF (4 mL). The crude product was recrystallized from EtOH to provide 202 mg of a white solid (75%), mp 211.9-212.7© (decomposes). 1H NMR (DMSO-d6) δ: 13.54 (br s, 1H); 8.47 (s, 1H); 8.44 (s, 1H); 8.12 (d, J=7.9 Hz, 1H); 8.07 (d, J=7.6 Hz, 1H); 7.78 (d, J=7.5 Hz, 1H); 7.67 (d, J=7.1 Hz, 1H); 7.58 (t, J=7.9 Hz, 1H); 7.42-7.54 (m, 2H); 4.52 (s, 2H). 13C NMR (DMSO-d6) ppm: 160.3, 156.9, 153.9, 151.5, 149.7, 143.5, 135.7, 134.0, 132.1, 131.8, 131.4, 131.1, 130.5, 130.3, 128.9, 128.3, 126.1, 122.4, 32.5. MS (ES): m/z 455.0 (M+). Anal. calcd. for C20H12Cl2N6OS: C, 52.76; H, 2.66; Cl, 15.57; N, 18.46; S, 7.04. Found: C, 52.65; H, 2.79; Cl, 15.32; N, 18.47; S, 7.18.
