2-Thiophenecarboxylic acid (14 mg, 0.11 mmol) was dissolved in NMP (0.9 ml) and treated with CDl (18 mg, 0.11 mmol). After 1 h, (1Z)-5-(8-chloro-2,6-dioxo-3-pentyl-2,3,6,7-tetrahydro-1H-purin-1-yl)-N-hydroxypentanimidamide (50 mg, 0.13 mmol) was added and the mixture heated in the microwave at 150° C. for 15 min. The solution was directly purified by MDAP to obtain the title compound which was then freeze dried from 1,4-dioxane to give the title compound as a white solid (19 mg, 31%).
