Standard solutions were prepared by dissolving 0.500 mg of genistein, and daidzein into a 100 ml volumetric flask with 80 parts methyl alcohol, and 20 parts water. This provides a concentration of each individual isoflavone in the standard solution of 5 micrograms/ml.
