Procedure

A suspension of 0.250 g (1.02 mmol) of the product of Example 12, Step I and 50 mg of 5% Pd/C in 5 mL of ethyl acetate was shaken under 40 psi H2 for 1 h. The solution was filtered through Celite and the filtrate was concentrated to afford 0.250 g (100%) of a white powder.
