5-(4-Biphenylyl)-3-aminoisoxazole (450 mg.) was mixed with excess 2,6-dichlorobenzoyl isocyanate in 50 ml. of DMF and the reaction mixture stirred overnight (about 18 hours) at room temperature. The reaction mixture was then poured into water and the product separated by filtration and recrystallized from ethanol, m.p. 225°-227° C.
