Procedure
tert-Butyl(1-benzyl-4-piperidinyl)((2-(hydroxymethyl)-1-((2-(trimethylsilyl)ethoxy)methyl)-1H-imidazol-4-yl)methyl)carbamate (0.48 g) obtained in Example 83e) was dissolved in a mixed solution (TFA:water=1:1, 2 ml), and mixed at 80° C. for 3 hours. After cooling to room temperature, the mixture was neutralized with a saturated aqueous sodium hydrogen carbonate solution and extracted with chloroform. The extract was washed with saturated brine and dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, and then the solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure to obtain the title compound as a yellow oil (0.28 g, quantitative).
