The title compound was prepared according to the procedure described in the step 2 in EXAMPLE 1 (METHOD B) from methyl 2,6-diamino-5-chloro-3-pyridinecarboxylate (EXAMPLE 1, METHOD B, Step 1) and 1-bromo-3-methylbutan-2-one (Synthesis, 1976, 194-196) using N,N-dimethylformamide as a solvent.
